A good storage routine starts before the bag is closed. Give your loaf time to cool, make room around it and choose a place that suits your kitchen.
Start with a completely cooled loaf
Freshly baked bread releases warmth and moisture. Leave it to cool before putting it inside the liner. Check the centre of a large loaf as well as the crust; the outside can feel cool while the middle is still warm.
Give the bread enough room
Set the removable liner inside the cotton outer, then place your bread inside without forcing it. Leave enough space above the loaf to roll the top down and connect the buckle. Divide a long loaf into shorter portions if needed.
Close the bag between slices
Roll and clip the opening after use. Keep the bag in a cool, dry spot away from the oven, radiator and direct sunlight. Start with clean, dry components each time you refill it.
Let the loaf guide the routine
Different breads behave differently. Room temperature, humidity and handling also affect storage. Check your bread regularly; this bag does not come with a verified promise of a fixed number of fresh days.
